BQCL Membership Information and Benefits

The Blue Quill Community League membership year runs from September 1st to August 31st.

Membership rates for the current year (2011 - 2012) are as follows:

2) Membership cheques can NOT be post-dated. Returned cheques will be charged NSF fees.

BQCL Membership Benefits

Your BQCL membership benefits include:

  • Eligibility to enroll in any of our programs such as soccer, martial arts, basketball, playschool, tennis (program fees are required for each program)
  • Reduced rental rates at the BQCL hall
  • Use of the BQCL tennis courts
  • Free skating on any outdoor community league rink (always take along your skate tags)
  • Free indoor skating at Confederation, Kinsmen, Millwoods, Southside & Tipton arenas
  • Free Swimming at Confederation Pool (Saturdays from 4-7pm). Phone: 780-944-7402. Note:  Confederation Pool will be closed for annual maintenance until Oct. 15, 2011.

Volunteer Jobs Available

Volunteers run our league and its programs, so we need your assistance! SIGN UP on the back of your membership form & we will call you!. Please pick one or more from the list below:

  • help with any of our programs – eg. coaches & assistant coaches
  • painting (inside or outside)
  • minor repairs – electrical, plumbing
  • flower bed planting, weeding & watering over the summer
  • grounds clean-up in the spring OR fall
  • volleyball & tennis nets up/courts cleaned in spring/nets down in fall
  • fall or spring program registration
  • help at a Social event
  • sign changing
  • a position on the BQCL Board (Social Director, Facilities Director, Treasurer)

Skills Roster

Help develop a skills roster for our League! Do you have a profession, trade or
skill-set (i.e. builder, plumber, lawyer, accountant, etc.) that you could occasionally assist us with, or advise us on? Let us know please, by listing it on the back of your membership form.

We will call for your assistance if and when needed by the League, and may even give you some business.
